St Kitts & Nevis Patriots started playing in the CPL in 2015. They replaced the Antigua Hawksbills as the team representing the Leeward Islands. The team was announced in January that year and wanted to bring new excitement to the tournament. The owner, Mahesh Ramani, built the team by mixing local players with famous international stars. Many fans across the region became interested in the new team. However, in the beginning, they did not always get good results.
Over the years, the team kept improving. In 2021, they won their first CPL title. They were led by captain Dwayne Bravo and defeated the Saint Lucia Kings in the final.
