Shamsi was born on February 18, 1990, in Johannesburg, South Africa. He grew up in a place where people loved cricket, which helped him learn the game early. When he was in school, he first bowled fast. Later, his coaches asked him to bowl spin instead.

Tabraiz Shamsi International Cricket Career
Shamsi debuted in ODIs against Australia in June 2016 at Providence. He impressed with economical spells immediately. His T20I debut followed against England in June 2017. Test debut occurred against Australia in November 2016. Although limited to two Tests, he excelled in white-ball formats.

Tabraiz Shamsi CPL Career
He has played T20 league cricket in the Caribbean Premier League (CPL). He started his CPL journey in 2015 with the St Kitts and Nevis Patriots. In that season, he took 11 wickets and became the team’s top wicket-taker. This strong performance helped him get noticed for international cricket.

Cricket Achievements
Shamsi has done well in many types of cricket and leagues. In Test matches, he played a little and took 6 wickets. In One Day Internationals (ODIs), he took 73 wickets, including one match where he took 5 wickets. He has 89 wickets in T20I and once took 5 wickets against England.
He also played in the Indian Premier League (IPL) for the Rajasthan Royals, taking 3 wickets in 5 matches.
