Ashmead Nedd is a young cricketer from Guyana. He is a slow left-arm spinner who bowls for teams in West Indies cricket. He has been improving step by step and is becoming a better player. Early Life & Background

Ashmead Romano Nedd was born on January 10, 2001, in Guyana. He grew up in a place where many people love cricket. Because of this, he became interested in cricket when he was very young.

As a child, he practiced spin bowling a lot. He also learned to bat right-handed and helped his team as a lower-order batsman. During his youth matches, he naturally became a slow left-arm spin bowler.

Ashmead played for Guyana national cricket team in age-group tournaments and performed well. Soon, people started noticing his talent at the Under-19 level. In 2018, he played for West Indies Under‑19 cricket team in the ICC Under‑19 Cricket World Cup 2018.

Domestic Cricket Career

Ashmead Nedd started playing professional cricket in 2019. He made his List A debut for the West Indies Emerging Team in November 2019 during the Regional Super50 tournament. In this competition, he bowled well and took wickets regularly for his team. Nedd has played 31 matches in List A cricket. In those games, he took 39 wickets with an average of 23.23. His best bowling in this format is 4 wickets for 29 runs.

Later, he played for the Guyana national cricket team in both List A and first-class cricket. In April 2023, he made his first-class debut for the West Indies Academy against Team Headley. As his career continued, Nedd also played for different teams such as the Leeward Islands cricket team and Guyana. Nedd has played 12 first-class matches so far. In these games, he took 41 wickets with an average of 27.56 runs per wicket. His best bowling performance in a match is 6 wickets for 78 runs. International Cricket Career

He has not played for the senior West Indies cricket team yet. However, he has played for the West Indies Emerging Team and the West Indies Under-19 cricket team.
